ALBUQUREQUE (KRQE) - An Air National Guardsman is making his way across the country on an unusual mission.
Larry Clifford Kirk is playing disc golf in all 50 states in 50 days.
He made a stop Monday at the Roosevelt Park in Albuquerque.
Kirk says he is doing it to promote disc golf.
Instead of hitting a ball you throw a disk.
"I love spreading the word of disc golf and the only way I think I know how to do it is to just meet people, say I’d like to catch a round and people are loving the story and they're following it,” Kirk said.
Kirk's final stop is Rockhill, South Carolina for the U.S. Disc Golf Championships.
