ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Plumes of smoke outside an Albuquerque recycling center could be seen across the city Sunday.
Fire crews responded to the Town Recycling Center near Prosperity and Broadway around noon.
Fire officials say the fire torched bales of recycled material including plastic, paper and cardboard.
The building was also damaged, but it was limited to a small porch.
Crews had to tear those bales apart to get the water inside to make sure the fire was completely out.
No injuries were reported.
