ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Emergency officials have reopened I-40 westbound at MM 55, just east of Thoreau, after a fatal crash.
Officials say a car traveling eastbound crossed over the median and hit a westbound semi-truck around 8:45 a.m. They say there was only one person inside of the car and that she died at the scene.
The driver of the semi was not injured.
Traffic was being diverted onto NM 122 at Exit 53.
Their names have not been released at this time.
