ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A man in a wheelchair crossing a busy street was struck by a car and killed Tuesday night in southeast Albuquerque.
The man's name and details of the collision have not yet been released.
The collision happened on Zuni Road SE at Alvarado Drive shortly before 9 p.m. The man was taken to UNM Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police report the driver of the car remained at the scene.
The intersection has been closed as the investigation progresses.
