ALAMOGORDO, N.M. (KRQE) - An Alamogordo man is dead after police say he was struck by a train.
Police say Edward Manning, 53, was walking on the tracks early Saturday morning when a Union Pacific Train hit him.
Police don't know why Manning was on the tracks or if he tried to get out of the way.
He died on the scene.
Police say there were no witnesses and they are investigating if alcohol is a factor.
