ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - District Attorney Kari Brandenburg is expected to hold a press conference Thursday to share new information regarding the James Boyd shooting case. Bradenburg filed murder charges against officers Keith Sandy and Dominique Perez for shooting homeless camper James Boyd in 2014.
But last week the judge took her off the case citing an appearance of conflict saying its quote: "necessary to ensure the appearance of fairness and public trust in the justice system."
Brandenburg can either appeal the ruling or appoint another prosecutor.
Her press conference is expected begin at 10 a.m.
KRQE News 13 will full details on Brandenburg's announcement online and in upcoming newscasts.
