SILVER CITY, N.M. (KRQE) - The Gila National Forest will be waiving recreations fees atfour popular sites this weekend and offering a free night ofcamping in recognition of National Trails Day.
On Friday and Saturday recreation fees will be waived at:
- Lake Roberts: Mesa and Upper End Campgrounds
- Quemado Lake: Piñon and Juniper Campgrounds
- Snow Lake: Dipping Vat Campground
- Catwalk Recreation Area
Also overnight camping will be free Saturday night at the fivecampgrounds, according to a news release. Additional information isavailable from the office of the forest supervisor in Silver Cityat (575) 388-8201.
