LAS CRUCES (KRQE) - New Mexico State University has narrowed down the list of potential presidents.
Regents announced the finalists Tuesday.
They are Garrey Carruthers, former New Mexico governor, David Ashley who was the former president at UNLV, Guy Bailey, the former president of Texas Tech, Daniel Howard, the dean at the University of Colorado Denver and Elsa Morano, the president Emeritus at Texas A&M.
NMSU removed Barbara Couture as president last fall after less than three years.
The goal is to have a new president named by May.
