The wife of an Albuquerque man suspected - The wife of an Albuquerque man suspected in the disappearance of a woman last summer claims her husband admitted to murdering the woman.
Albuquerque Police say Chris Blattner is the prime suspect in the disappearance of Kathy Paquin.
Newly unsealed federal court documents show Chris Blattner's wife Brittany believes he is responsible for Paquin vanishing.
Brittany Blattner told investigators "He had murdered Kathy Paquin and dismembered and hid her corpse."
Police though are not moving forward with charges at this point because Chris is not talking and Paquin's body has not been found.
As for a motive, Chris Blattner who is a convicted felon and has a long rap sheet for drugs and his wife Brittany befriended Paquin.
According to court documents the two then proceeded to drain her bank accounts, stealing $63,000.
Blattner was arrested last August following a long SWAT standoff where he shot at police.
At the time police were after him for the 2007 murder of a drug dealer.
Blattner and his wife are both facing a slew of federal charges.
APD said there have been no leads on Paquin outside of the Blattner connection.
An Albuquerque Police Officer's wife is also facing federal charges in relations to the Blattners.
