ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The APD SWAT team was called out Saturday night to the same downtown area where a police gun battle began earlier in the day although it's not known if the two events are connected.
Officers converged on the home in the 800 block of Walter Street SE about five blocks from where Saturday morning's first gun battle erupted. Two officers were wounded in what sources told KRQE News 13 was an ambush.
