Suspected Sinaloa cartel members convicted of murder

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) - Three men with ties to the Sinaloa drug cartel have been convicted of murder.

Eder Ortiz-Parra, Rafael Gonzalez-Parra and Edwin Ortiz-Parra shot and killed two men in August 2016. One near 98th and Tower, the other near Universe and Irving.

Their trial began in February.

Eder Ortiz-Parra and Edwin Ortiz-Parra were found guilty on all counts including first-degree murder.

They face up to two life imprisonments plus 63 years.

Rafael Gonzalez-Parra was found guilty on charges including second-degree murder. He faces up to 44 years.
