ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The man, who originally admitted to killing two strangers in Albuquerque last month, now says he did not do it.
Fontayne Hopkins pled not guilty in court Monday.
Hopkins is accused of raping and murdering hotel maid Ramona Montoya-Leon at the Plaza Inn and killing a man who offered him a ride at an Albuquerque bus stop.
Police say he then wrapped telephone cords around their necks so they knew it was the work of the same guy.
Hopkins in jail on a $500,000 bond.
