ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) - Police in Roswell are investigating an overnight shooting that left two people dead.
It happened just before one o'clock Saturday morning on Bryne Street near the Eastern New Mexico University Roswell campus, and the Roswell airport.
Investigators said two groups of people got into some sort of argument.
Brandon Lucero, 19, Rodney Sanchez, 31, were shot and killed.
A third person was airlifted to a hosptial in Lubbock, Texas.
Police were monitoring the area for gang activity last week.
They said last night's shooting may be gang related.
Authorities have yet to name any suspects or make an arrest.
