ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The manhunt for the suspect wanted for murdering an Albuquerque man and raping a child has now gone statewide.
Bernalillo County sheriff's deputies are looking for Edward Quintana. He's accused of shooting Jason Estrada outside the victim's house in the South Valley Wednesday night.
Estrada's family says he was confronting a man who may have been molested Estrada's young son.
However, deputies are not saying Quintana's child-rape charge is related to the shooting.
On Thursday night investigators called out the sheriff's SWAT team, which surrounded a residence near 57th Street SW and Forsythe. A spokesman said the raid was related to murder of Estrada but provided no additional details.
