ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Albuquerque Police continue to investigate the motive in the cross-city shooting spree that left three A.P.D. officers and one deputy shot and the suspect dead.
The shooting spanned all the way from near Broadway and Avenida Ceasar Chavez to 4th and Montano, where the suspect crashed the A.P.D. cruiser he stole and officers opened fire.
The man behind it, 35 year-old Christopher Chase, who unleashed shots from an assault rifle.

During that spree, Chase shot three A.P.D. officers and one deputy.
That deputy, 15 year veteran Robin Hopkins was the most severely injured. She remains in the intensive care unit with a gunshot wound to the leg.
A.P.D. has also released the name of the other officers shot. They are officers Matthew Hannum, Eric Martinez, and Daniel morales. All are expected to recover.
