ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The man police had been looking for after he allegedly set a car on fire with his ex-girlfriend still inside , has been arrested.
Bernalillo County detectives arrested Ray Pergeson Monday evening.
The suspect was spotted leaving the scene of the car fire last Wednesday near 4th Street and Alameda.
Witnesses say the woman inside the car managed to get out moments before it blew up.
She suffered massive burns.
Pergeson was also burned. He is being treated at the hospital.
Once he's released, Pergeson will be taken to jail on attempted murder, aggravated arson and other charges.
