ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - One of the so-called “Pillowcase Bandits" was sentenced to 25 years in prison Thursday.
After two years on the run, Tommy Coogler was arrested three days ago.
Police say he's part of a gang that ransacked homes a couple years ago and filled people's pillowcases with their possessions.
He pleaded guilty in 2011 to 10 burglary charges.
Coogler fled to California while he was out on bond awaiting sentencing.
But he was handcuffed Monday at the Sunport when he came back to Albuquerque.
