ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The penalty phase for John McCluskey, the man who killed a couple in New Mexico after escaping from an Arizona prison begins Monday.
McCluskey faces life in prison or the death penalty for the killings of Gary and Linda Haas while on the run in New Mexico.
The same jury that found him guilty of murder two weeks ago will also determine his sentencing.
Much of the testimony is expected to center on McCluskey's psychological state.
