ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A verdict in the John McCluskey double murder trial will have to wait until next week.
After deliberating for seven hours today, the jury was unable to reach a decision and was sent home until Monday.
McCluskey is charged with the murders of Gary and Linda Haas of Oklahoma.
They were traveling through New Mexico in 2010 when they were carjacked and later killed.
Prosecutors say fingerprints and DNA on the murder weapon and statements McCluskey made to officers during his arrest - point to him as the triggerman.
McCluskey could face the death penalty if convicted.
