ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Two men were arrested and charged with child abuse after they were caught smoking meth by an Albuquerque police officer.
On Monday APD received a call to an apartment on Texas Street NE – when officers arrived they could see in plain view the group gathered around passing a pipe and smoking from it.
According to the criminal complaint the officer then knocked on this door and saw the suspects try and hide the pipe before letting him in.
Once inside officers found three kids, ages 14, 8 and 5-months-old.
Dennis Valdez, 24, and Garid Chapman, 33, were arrested and charged with possession of meth, child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
