CARLSBAD, N.M. (KRQE) - A drug suspect shot and killed during a drug raid in Carlsbad has been identified as a 35-year-old resident of Artesia.
Agents with the Pecos Valley Drug Task Force were looking for Wesley Davis to arrest him on outstanding felony drug warrant.
They found him at a motel in Carlsbad.
An altercation broke out when agents tried to arrest Davis, and he was shot twice. He died later at the Carlsbad Medical Center.
The names of the agents involved have not been released, and the investigation into the shooting is still ongoing.
