MIMBRES, N.M. (KRQE) - A New Mexico man is charged with killing his girlfriend's toddler.
Deputies say 29-year-old Nickolas Grijalva threw the 3-year-old into the toilet and shower door because she soiled herself Thursday in Mimbres, east of Silver City.
The girl was rushed to the hospital where she was ruled brain dead.
She died Sunday.
Grijalva is charged with child abuse resulting in death.
