ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Police say a man upset over a breakup didn't take it out on his ex, but instead he shot up her sister's car.
Jeffrey Tovarportillo, 21, was in court Sunday on numerous charges.
A criminal complaint states his girlfriend broke up with him Tuesday. Police say he then shot his girlfriend's sister's mustang and texted his girlfriend "you're next."
He was arrested a few days later after getting into another argument with his girlfriend and trying to take her cell phone.
Tovarportillo is in jail on a no bond hold.
