ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A man who kidnapped a little girl but was chased down by a neighbor learned Friday how much time he'll be spending in behind bars.
A District Court judge sentenced Phillip Garcia to 19 years in prison.
In August 2011 Garcia pulled the 6-year-old girl into his van near her southwest Albuquerque home.
A neighbor who saw it happen chased Garcia until he crashed on the mesa.
The girl was not injured
In June a jury found Garcia guilty of kidnapping and child abuse.
