ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - An Albuquerque teen accused of murdering his family in January will plead innocent by reason of insanity.
Attorneys for Nehemiah Griego, 15, gave notice of their intent Thursday.
The teen is accused of murdering his two sisters, brother and mother in their sleep in their South Valley home in January and then ambushing his father Greg when he came home that night.
He told investigators he did it because he was mad at his mom. Griego is charged with murder and child abuse.
Griego's attorney's also say Griego's competency is in play in this case.
His family, which is still supporting him, says it's clear to them he had some sort of psychotic break that night.
