BERNALILLO, N.M. (KRQE) - The Sandoval County Sheriff's Office is investigating a bizarre hit-and-run involving a horse.
The dead horse was found along New Mexico 165 in Placitas Friday night.
A second dead horse was found nearby, but there's no evidence the two cases are related.
Deputies did find pieces of a Jeep at the scene but have no other information about the vehicle or the driver.
