RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) - A Rio Rancho man got back 25 pair of stolen shoes Friday night, but they're not just any shoes.
They're all collector Air Jordans worth nearly $30,000.
On Aug. 6 a burglar broke into Angelo Desimone's house and stole 59 pair of the fancy footwear.
Desimone hired a private investigator who was able to track down the 25 pair on Craigslist.
But Desimone says the thief also took something much more valuable than the shoes. He took a video camera with footage of the first year of his son's life.
"He's a year old now, and we're never going to get his first steps on camera again," Desimone said. "That was the biggest thing that was lost."
The Albuquerque man who had the 25 pair claims he bought them off Craigslist and didn't know they were stolen.
He's cooperating with police.
