ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A corrections sergeant was on paid leave Saturday night after security said they found drugs in his car.
The corrections department said they were conducting a surprise search at the Central New Mexico Correctional Facility in Los Lunas on Saturday morning.
A drug dog showed interest in the sergeant's car in a secured lot.
Security said they found a small amount of marijuana inside.
The sergeant is under investigation but no charges have been filed.
