Clovis woman sentenced to five years for hitting pedestrian

CLOVIS, N.M. (KRQE) - A Clovis woman will spend more than five years behind bars for hitting a pedestrian while driving drunk.

A judge sentenced Amanda Sotelo for the 2015 incident where she ran over a woman who was out looking for her dog.

Sotelo then led police on a chase through the streets of Texico.

She was arrested for drunk driving.

Authorities say Sotelo had three previous DWI convictions and is currently awaiting trial for another DWI case.
