ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - From funny to racy Super Bowl commercials are just as big if not bigger talkers than the game and one Albuquerque group takes a poll nationwide to see which commercials were a hit or a miss.
The Albuquerque advertising firm McKee, Wallwork and Company started adbowl.com more than a decade ago. The website features commercials watched by millions during the Super Bowl so the world can vote on their favorites.
By the end of the night on Super Bowl Sunday the world will know which ad was a Super Bowl best or a super bust.
While you probably watched them from the comfort of your home or maybe having a few drinks with pals the small army of ad watchers was busy logging each commercial and then adding them to the website.
Once all of the commercials are on their site everyone that logs on can voice their opinion.
"It's a scale of one to five. If you vote you think the commercial is great," Creative Director Daniel Andreani said.
But don't count out the ads you may have thought were a bust.
The group also tweets about the commercials. Tweeter Meena Lee said one of the ads that had many covering their eyes was getting a lot of attention on twitter.
"I feel like the funny ones are about the Godaddy commercial and how gross it's been," Lee said.
There's a lot riding on the results. This year the average 30-second Superbowl spot cost upward of $4 million. What viewers talk about helps agencies for next year.
As for the ad watchers, don't think it is all work and no play. They have their favorites too.
"I like the goat one, I like the Doritos one personally," IT Director Max Terchila said.
That Oreo one was pretty cute. I was surprised because they didn't leak anything on that one," Sr. Media Planner Cindy Powers said.
For this year's results go to adbowl.com .
