LINCOLN, N.M. (AP) - The New Mexico Tourism Department is paying homage to part ofthe West's wild history with a Web site dedicated to Billy theKid.
Wild West aficionados will travel to the southern New Mexicocommunity of Lincoln next month to celebrate the annual Old LincolnDays and the Billy the Kid Pageant. The Web site is aimed at thosewho won't be able to make the trip.
State Tourism Secretary Michael Cerletti says the site is "atravel experience unlike any other in New Mexico."
Visitors will be able to retrace the steps of the famous outlawand the sheriff credited with shooting him.
The site also has links to maps and tours in Billy the Kidterritory.
Old Lincoln Days run from Aug. 7-9.
