Albuquerque (KRQE) - A two-vehicle crash critically injured a women Thursday afternoon and blocked part of Tramway Boulevard for hours.
One vehicle rolled onto its side on the Interstate 40 westbound on ramp from Tramway, according to Albuquerque Public Information Officer Trish Hoffman.
The crash forced the closure of all southbound lanes of Tramway at Interstate 40 from just before 4 p.m. until after 7 p.m..
"The truck hit a light pole, and live wires from the light pole are delaying the accident clean up and investigation." said Hoffman. Live wires fell on one of the vehicles, she added.
At 7:30 p.m. police were still on the scene as the investigation continued.
The woman, who has not been identified, was apparently southbound on Tramway when she hit a northoubnd pickup truck that was turning left in front of her. The impact sent the truck rolling into the light pole.
