Workers hold protest outside popular Old Town restaurant

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) - Former workers at a popular New Mexico restaurant claim they have not been paid thousands of dollars that they are owed.

An immigrants rights group, along with former employees, held a protest at Hacienda Del Rio Restaurant in Old Town Tuesday.

More than two years ago, four former workers filed a lawsuit against the restaurant must pay more than $40,000 to the workers.

They claim they still haven't received any money.

In September, Hacienda was shut down by the Health Department.

Inspectors found an infestation of roaches in the kitchen and prep area.
