Teen accused of Tower Park murder released from jail

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) - A 15-year-old accused killer is out of jail on an ankle monitor.

Police say 15-year-old Santiago Armijo and 16-year-old Jeremiah De La Pena shot a man at Tower Park in southwest Albuquerque last week.

APD says the two teens claim they shot 25-year-old Larry Desantiago in self-defense.

They say he was drunk and chasing them.

Both are charged with murder.

Judge Neil Candelaria released Armijo on his own recognizance.
