Security patrols planned for problem church in Nob Hill

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) - Relief is on the way for neighbors who have been complaining about a problem Nob Hill church.

The Trinity Methodist Church on Silver and Solano belongs to local realtor Chris Pino.

Pino is currently awaiting trial on murder charges after he allegedly ran over and killed a homeless man in the church parking lot last year.

Neighbors say the church has become a magnet for homeless people. There was even a fire there last month.

Now, the city and Pino's attorney have agreed to provide twice-a-day patrols at the church until Pino can make sure the property isn't a safety hazard.
