ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Nasty weather with continuing stiff breezes has forced the cancellation of the Friday night Balloon Glow but not the fireworks show.
Admission and parking will be free, a spokesman for the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.
The fireworks show is scheduled for 8 p.m.
Winds nearing 30 mph are in the evening forecast, and intermittent rain possibly with lightning also is possible in the metro area.
Earlier in the day winds and a thunderstorm washed out the mass ascension.
The forecast improves into the weekend although breezy-to-windy conditions may affect the final weekend of the fiesta.
