The Red River Ski Area celebrates its 50th anniversary this season adding special events to its regular activities. Also new this season are family friendly evening snowmobile tours to the 10,350-foot top of the runs. Red River itself is a real ski town with two of the ski area's lifts rising from the community itself. If the great skiing weren't enough, there are snowmobiling and cross-country trails, after-hours tubing at the ski area, sleigh rides and plenty of fun both on the mountain and in town. www.redriverskiarea.com
