Perched in the Sacramento Mountains above Ruidoso Ski Apache reaches 11,400 feet on the eastern face of majestic Sierra Blanca. Fifty-five trails and 750 acres of skiable terrain welcome skiers of all abilities carried quickly up the mountain by 11 lifts. While the entire area is open to snowboarders, there also is a special terrain park and both skiers' and snowboarders' shops. The Mescalero Apache Tribe owns the resort and also operates the Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino a short distance away. www.skiapache.com
