ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A contest, launched Monday by the governor and state Tourism Department, will allow you to enjoy the beauty of New Mexico and possibly win a cash prize while doing it.
The New Mexico True Stories contest encourages people to travel all around the state this summer, take amazing pictures and then upload them on NewMexico.org.
Participants will also have to provide information such as their favorite meal, outdoor adventure and an insider's tip.
"For every dollar that is spent on advertising for New Mexico, we get $3 back into our state from other states," Governor Susana Martinez said. "So we really want to promote our state."
The contest is 14 weeks long.
The winner will be named The Ultimate New Mexico Insider and win $5,000 cash.
