Buffalo, NY (AP) - The Buffalo Sabres have signed 2008 first-round pick Tyler Ennis
to a three-year entry level contract.
After being the second of Buffalo's two first-round
selections (26th overall) last year, Ennis, 19, matched his
career-high with 43 goals in 60 games for the Medicine Hat Tigers
of the Western Hockey League in 2008-09, including a six-goal game
against Prince Albert.
The 5-foot-9, 163-pound Ennis registered 236 points in 245
career WHL games for Medicine Hat, and was a two-time winner of the
league's Sportsmanlike Player Award.
He signed on Wednesday.
