BAGHDAD (AP) -- Iraqi officials say two bombings have killed six people and wounded eight others in the center of the country on Thursday.
Police officials said that the bloodiest attack took place when a car bomb went off in a commercial street in western Baghdad, killing four people and wounding eight others.
In Anbar province, two soldiers were killed after another bomb exploded near their observation post in the city of Fallujah, 65 kilometers (40 miles) west of Baghdad.
Medics in nearby hospitals confirmed the casualties. All the officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren't authorized to talk to the media.
Violence has ebbed in Iraq, but insurgent attacks are still frequent.
