KYLE, Texas (KXAN) - In Central Texas, one high school will have nine sets of twins walking the stage to receive their diplomas this year.
"We've made it through so many years together and now we finally get to graduate." Brenda Murillo said, graduating from Lehman High School.
Brenda and her twin sister Valerie were excited to graduate, but the two think it's extra special that they will be walking the stage with eight other sets of twins.
Brenda and Valerie said it's hard to explain the bond they have.
"You share the womb together, you share homework, you help each other out, talk to each other about anything." Brenda said.
Courtney and Caitlyn Cygan, another set of twins graduating, said it's brought the Class of 2012 closer together.
Caitlyn said, "It's like we are our own little group now. At first we were like whatever, but now that we're getting recognized for it, we got a little closer, talk a little more."
The 2012 graduating class came close but didn't quite make the world record of 13 sets of twins graduating at once.
But in the end, all the twins win, because Friday night at Shelton Stadium they will receive their diplomas together, but will soon go out into the world as individuals.
