BLACK CANYON CITY, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities chased a stolen car for nearly 20 miles before arresting a female driver and her two passengers near Black Canyon City.
Phoenix police say the yellow coupe diverted off Interstate 17 to avoid spike strips and took the Bumblebee exit Wednesday afternoon.
The car traveled along a two-lane dirt road until it slid off a dirt road.
The female driver then exited the vehicle, followed by a male passenger and a female passenger. They were ordered to the ground as police handcuffed them.
Police didn't immediately release the names and ages of the suspects or their hometowns.
They say the stolen car hit several other vehicles before getting onto I-17 and heading north out of the Phoenix area.
Police say there was no report of any injuries.
