HAZELWOOD, Mo. (CNN/KTVI) - The next time you go to a monster truck show expecting to hear a roar, it may only be the crowd.
Bigfoot, a monster truck, has turned over a new, greener leaf.
"This truck is extremely quiet. It's really weird, inside you hear every bit of the cars crunch, you hear every joint move, you hear the tires hit the asphalt," said Jim Kramer, VP of operations.
It takes 36 batteries to power this modified pickup truck.
"We built this truck in five weeks. We worked seven days a week, 12, 13, 15 hours a day until we got it done. And this particular one, the electric truck is 360 volts and it's 1400 amps," said Byran Bertoletti, head fabricator.
