SNOHOMISH, Wash. (CNN/KING) - High school senior Ali Steenis gradually lost her vision to a rare eye disorder. When a teacher asked her class what each of them what they would do if they knew they could not fail, Steenis responded, "Well, I just wish I could drive a car."

Her classmates were moved into action, and arranged a surprise for Steenis like no other. On her 18th birthday, Steenis got her wish, thanks to dozens of classmates, teachers and friends.
