EIKESDAL CLIFF, Norway (CNN/NRK) - Here's what you don't want to happen when performing acrobatics near the edge of a cliff.

Richard Henriksen was said to be only "centimeters from death" as he attempted this stunt. He was preparing to flip off the bar when the stand broke early, flinging him over the edge of the cliff 1200 meters above the ground.

One person who witnessed the accident said everyone was certain he had died. But Henriksen managed to open his parachute just seconds before smashing into the ground.
