'Hunger Games' tops 'Harry Potter'

Both books got a big boost from movies

(CNN) - When it comes to best-selling books, having a bow and arrow may be more effective than having a wand.

"The Hunger Games" trilogy has surpassed the "Harry Potter" books as the more popular series on Amazon.com.

The most remarkable part of the surge of Katniss and "The Hunger Games" is that the series only consists of three books. The "Harry Potter" series is seven.

Both books got a big boost from movies based off the books.
