Winter Weather: NM Road Closures

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Snow continues to fall and it is causing New Mexico roads to become snow packed and icy.

Here is a look at current road conditions in the state:

NM 38, FAIR DRIVING CONDITIONS from mile marker 12.7 to mile marker 29.2 (Bobcat Pass to Eagle Nest), road is wet, slick in shady areas. Crews have plowed, salted, and cindered. NM 434, FAIR DRIVING CONDITIONS from mile marker 36.5 to mile marker 26 (Angel Fire to Agua Fria), road is wet, slick in shady areas. Crews have plowed, salted, and cindered. Please drive with caution, reduce speed and obey all posted traffic signs. This event will be updated as conditions change.

Crews have reopened I-25 in both directions north of Santa Fe to Colorado.

Crews have reopened eastbound I-40 at Louisiana Boulevard to the Texas state line. I-40 will be reopened Eastbound from Louisiana. Drivers need to be mindful that the roads are driveable yet still considered winter weather driving conditions.
