ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - New Mexico is about three weeks out from the official start to Spring, which is known as windy season in the state.
However, Monday's winds has kept the Bernalillo County fire fighters busy.
They had to fight a small blaze near a chicken coop off of Lagunitas in the South Valley.
Fire crews were able to get it under control, but the winds hampered their efforts for a while and almost spread the fire out of control.
That is one of the major concerns on Tuesday. Another is visibility on the road. That's usually the case on Interstate 25 between Albuquerque and Los Lunas, a lot of loose dirt and sand always blows through that area.
Drivers are advised to use caution.
