RED RIVER, N.M. (KRQE) - Cooler temperatures and a little bit of snow are easing the wildfire threat in northern New Mexico, and firefighters have nearly encircled a fire in Colorado.
A light dusting of snow overnight helped to keep the Midnight Fire in the Carson National Forest at 363 acres.
Officials say the fire northeast of Red River was human-caused, but they're not giving details.
And, the Roatcap Fire near Dolores in southwestern Colorado was expected to be 100 percent contained by Friday evening.
A man from Dolores has been charged with arson for allegedly starting it through his carelessness.
